Cobb Chapter-GAGC

Cobb Chapter of the Georgia Association for Gifted Children

The Cobb Chapter of the Georgia Association for Gifted Children is an advocacy group for parents, educators, administrators, and the public who are interested in gifted education and advanced learning opportunities for children in elementary, middle, and high schools.

Because we recognize that parent support is critical to educational improvement, our purpose is to:

  • Provide parent education and resources

  • Supporting the needs of gifted students at the state level

  • Be a resource for the Advanced Program Coordinators at the city and county level

SENG Update

"All persons have a right to educational experiences that challenge the level of their individual development whether it is below, at, or beyond the level of the grade they are in or that of their peers.

Anything less is to waste human potential, to impede the progress of individuals and our society, and to misuse the principles of democracy.

We who care about children must demand equity for all learners, even those who do not fit the system as it now operates; even those whom we call gifted."

-- Barbara Clark
